Description
These cozy alpaca mittens are hand-knit from alpaca farmed in Fauquier County, Virginia. Alpaca is a lightweight and cozy fiber. If you’re looking for a lightweight but warm pair of mittens, these are for you – alpaca fibers are hollow so they hold up to 7 times more heat than wool.
I love this alpaca farm, because they identify each skein of yarn by the animal that provided it. These mittens feature natural white yarn from Lily, natural light brown from DeeDee, medium brown yarn from Velvet Dawn, or from Velasquez, hand-dyed blue yarn from Sundancer, and dark brown from Bandit. Lily’s mittens are the lightest, Bandit’s are the thickest and warmest, and Sundancer’s, DeeDee’s, Velasquez’s and Velvet Dawn’s are in between.
These mitts are so incredibly soft and warm to keep you cozy this winter!
Care: hand wash cold, lay flat to dry
Size: Knit with a ribbed cuff and a generous thumb gusset, the small size will fit most female teens and adults, and the large will fit most male teens and adults so these are perfect for gifting!
