Hand-dyed BFL wool lightweight shawl

This lightweight shawl is hand-knit using colorful hand-dyed Blue Faced Leicester – a soft and springy wool that has an almost silky look and feel. The yarn comes from a Maryland farm and is part of my Greater DMV collection: featuring fibers grown, farmed or hand dyed in the greater DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.

This shawl is lightweight with delicate lacework. It can can be a comfortable shawl in warmer weather or it can be gathered to provide extra warmth in chillier weather. This BFL wool is super soft, and wool is naturally moisture wicking. This luxury fiber shawl would make a lovely birthday gift for the important woman in your life – your mom, your wife, your bestie, or yourself!

Care: hand-wash cold, lay flat to dry.
